In an attempt to see if anyone reads the forums here is my first posting :

What is the situation with respect to :

Building an experimental aircraft and equiping as an IFR platfrom and then flying in Class A airspace in Australia ?
Is it possible ?

Basically, yes.
The IFR capability must be demonstrated during the testing phase 1 section of the aircraft's C of A certification, and generally, the test period will evolve in stages from VMC to Night VMC to IFR progressively as dictated by the approved person.
